Twilight Dragon

During the high summer months, the sun in Scotland dips only slightly below the horizon, giving us long evenings and a magical twilight in place of the true night of winter. This liminal time is best for those seeking Twilight Dragons. The colour of their scales shifts and blends with the night sky, and their horns are festooned with shimmering threads that twinkle like starlight.

Twilight dragons tend to lay their eggs in the Winter, keeping them safe over the colder months before they hatch in the Springtime. The young remain under the care of their parents a little while longer before taking flight in long days of the Summer, when the power of the Twilight Dragons is at its zenith. Twilight Dragons are renowned for celebrating the Summer Solstice for this reason as it is a time of their young fledging and exploring the world now laid out to them.

The Twilight Dragon has a weighted body and wire armature, making them pleasingly poseable. Their wings are made from wire and plastic dip, to keep them light and shimmery.
Their face and limbs are sculpted entirely by hand from polymer clay with hand painted glass eyes.
