Inkycap Mushroom Dragon Hatchling

Of the many dragons in Feyrish wood, none are so diverse and abundant as the Mushroom Dragons. Living out among the fungi and sticking to the damp and murk, they come in many shapes and sizes. While not as majestic as Elemental or Crystal Dragons, these fungal friends are loyal, kind and could sprout up just about anywhere with the right conditions.

What really makes mushroom dragons special is their variety, with them taking on the look of the different fungal forms that grow around them.

While their growth and general shape is much like that of the Amanita, their colouring and demeanour differs greatly. With dark caps adorned with glistening droplets and pale bodies, they have a somewhat gothic charm. Unlike their cousins, who delight in the company of others, the Inkcap mushroom dragons are far more withdrawn. That said, when an Inkcap Dragon does make friends, they do so with great love and loyalty, an Inkcap is a friend for life.

Mushroom Dragons are soft fabric, with joints at their head and limbs, making them delightful to pose. Their caps are made from a combination of hand pleated cotton for the underside, topped with silk, velvet or felt. Their faces and limbs are sculpted from polymer clay.
