Longtailed Honeydrone A5 Print
Wherever flowers may bloom in the woodland realm, the longtailed honeydrone can be found. A naturally gentle creature, they feed primarily on nectar but have been known to also harvest material from several classes of magical fungi.
The longtailed honeydrone at first appears to be an exceedingly large bee, though with distinctly larger and more numerous wings as well as an elongated face. A surprisingly friendly insect variety, honeydrones have been known to play with other species, displaying a level of intelligence quite unlike that found in mundane fauna.
Honeydrones, as per their name, produce honey in large hives, often hidden underground or carved into softer stones such as sandstone. Indeed, rumours even persist that the main part of these hives does not reside within our world at all, but in a Great Hive that is reached through the parts of hives we can actually see. The honeydrones certainly aren’t telling.
