Thistlebug

An iconic symbol of Scotland, the thistle can be found in abundance in woodlands, hedgerows, both in countryside and city. But in those special places where magic pools, these graceful creatures can by chance be found, nestling among the spines, resplendent with their purple crowns. Their likeness to their namesake provides an excellent camouflage, from which they strike out at their prey, usually other smaller insects. Despite their aggressive hunting techniques, Thistlebugs are remarkably calm and kind creatures towards anything they do not see as food.

Each doll is handcrafted from polymer clay, plush fabrics and wool. The head turns and body can be lightly posed.
